The Only Mirror

The Only Mirror is a chamber and vocal ensemble performance with photographic montage reflecting on poverty, homelessness, dignity, and the distance between lived experience and public perception.

Created by composer Jeff Firewalker Schmitt and photographer Brody Hartman, the work brings music, voice, and documentary imagery into dialogue. It was performed in 2026 as part of Contemporary Music Week at the 30th Bled International Music Festival in Slovenia.
